MIM paramodels rc paragliding – About Us :

MIM paramodels is the first italian rc paraglider producer , We are specilized in design , testing and production of scaled rc paragliders.

MIM paramodels is the name I wanted to give to this project as a sign of respect toward those people who always supported me , my father Mariano that will live forever in to my heart and my Mother Marika.

To begin, please let me introduce myself. My name is Ivan Appoloni. I am a fan of free flight ever since the age of 6 years old. I started by following my father during his excursions in piccole dolomites.

It was there I first discovered hang gliding and afterwards paragliding. I know the sport very well, and I have followed the its evolution from the beginning. I have been paragliding since 1992, and was able to explore and practice it in all its forms, from cross country Flying , to paratrekking and even the more extreme aerobatics.

I was part of the Italian national paragliding team and I always strove for excellent results in my competitions. I have since long abandoned the competitions to dedicate myself totally to the study and development of my projects. In 2001, I graduated in mechanical engineering at the University of Padova. I am specialize in computer-aided design techniques, testing and structural analysis FEM (finite element method).

My passion for paragliding has also led me to work for some time as an instructor and tandem pilot in the most important paragliding school in the USA (Torrey Pines Gliderport San Diego-CA) .

I will keep , togheter with those who are supporting me , to be commited in order to develope scaled rc paraglider to levels never seen before. I will offer my experience , passion and enthusiam for this hobby to all of those people who wants to enter this new fantastic world with the right foot.
